Bajestan Desalination Plant Commissioned with a Capacity of 3,000 m³/day

The first phase of the Bajestan Desalination Plant in Razavi Khorasan Province has been successfully implemented and commissioned to support the sustainable supply of drinking water and improve water quality in the region. The system has a total treatment capacity of 3,000 cubic meters per day, consisting of two independent treatment lines, each with a capacity of 1,500 cubic meters per day.

The project was implemented by Payamavaran Nano Fanavari Fardanegar (PNF) as the contractor, with Razavi Khorasan Water and Wastewater Company as the employer. The system integrates advanced water treatment technologies, including Reverse Osmosis (RO), Electrodialysis Reversal (EDR), and pretreatment, providing an efficient solution for the treatment of saline water.

The Bajestan Water Quality Improvement System, with a total capacity of 3,000 cubic meters per day, was successfully commissioned as part of the county’s Integrated Water Supply Project. The system utilizes a combination of Reverse Osmosis (RO), Electrodialysis Reversal (EDR), and advanced pretreatment technologies.

One of the key features of the project is the integration of EDR with RO, which enables further treatment and recovery of the concentrated stream generated by the RO process. This integrated approach helps improve overall water recovery and reduce the volume of concentrated wastewater. According to project information, the system achieves a net recovery rate of approximately 85%.

The implementation of the Bajestan project represents an important step toward improving the quality and reliability of drinking water supplies in the region and demonstrates PNF’s capabilities in the design, construction, installation, and commissioning of advanced desalination and water treatment systems.
