Payam Avaran Nano Fanavary Fardanegar Company (PNF), active in water and industrial wastewater treatment, aims to undertake projects for water desalination to supply drinking water in certain regions of the country with water scarcity. In collaboration with Khorasan Razavi Province Water and Wastewater Company, PNF company has designed, built, installed, and commissioned one of the most important water supply projects in this province.
Currently, the first phase of the drinking water treatment project in Bajestan County has been successfully launched and commissioned. This important project, with the goal of providing drinking water to this county, was defined with the efforts of the provincial water and wastewater company and local officials.
The design of this project includes two separate lines with a total capacity of 3,000 cubic meters per day, aiming for maximum utilization (85%), combining reverse osmosis (RO) and selectively integrated electrodeionization (RO-EDR) technology.
The EDR system is considered a modern and advanced technology in the water and industrial wastewater treatment industry. Not much time has passed since its adoption in Iran, and PNF, as one of the pioneers in using this technology in the country, utilizes this system for recycling concentrated brackish wastewater to increase efficiency in reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

The combination of these technologies significantly reduces groundwater extraction, helping to preserve regional water resources amid critical water shortage conditions.
